Australia and New Zealand

IT’S A LONG WAY TO AUSTRALIA……NOT TO MENTION NEW ZEALAND

Forgive us, especially you who entered our labors in the above mentioned countries, with your prayers and/ or financial support. We are late (grandkid delayed would be a better description) in communicating blessings and challenges encountered and experienced in our recent ventures.

Seriously, we have enjoyed a week of double thanksgiving with the attention of our two sons and families who are local, joined by the youngest and his family (Dr. Josh, wife Carrie and three BEAUTIFUL, darling kids, Eden-3, Lily- 22 months and Ash-4 months).

Our l0 (11th on the way) grandchildren do not keep us stateside when opportunities arise to minister globally but you can excuse us for a one week delay on a report…..I hope.

Our opportunities to teach, preach and counsel were never more blessed than in this excursion to Adelaide, Australia and Tauranga, New Zealand. Both mission teams, The Napiers in Adelaide and Prestons in Tauranga had a well planned series of teaching events for both Jim (me) and Mary Boyd. We stayed busy. All teaching and preaching is glorious but meeting with pastoral teams and wives is especially precious and, hopefully, productive.

Medical counsel was a significant sidelight in some situations. Though we do not attempt to replace the dynamic outreach of the national personnel in these countries we were blessed to see three professions of faith in Adelaide and five in the Tauranga church.(two of these indicated that the decisions were for assurance). One teen’s decision had an impact on a younger brother who is reported to have since made a profession also. These reports from our mission teams are sweet to the ears and hearts of the Alleys.

A huge wagonload of thank yous to Dr. John and Emma Napier and to Bill and Tobi Preston for excellent preliminary preparation for our ministry. That kind of labor makes all the difference.

The J. Alley’s ministry reports and other comments can be picked up here on our web site. Financial support can be sent (with tax deduction status) to Timberlake Baptist Church - made out to church with designation for the Jim Alleys.
