Events at Virginia Tech

Events at Virginia Tech April 2007

After my husband returned from India where he and the men with him had a wonderful spiritual time and I returned from visiting grandchildren and my sister, we took a few days off between speaking engagements in Tennessee. We were joined in the Smokey Mountains by our son David and his family where we reveled in the beauty of God’s creation by hiking and enjoying each others company. A comfortable, spacious cabin was our base while close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in all kinds of weather from sunny and pleasant to rainy, snow and high winds. .

However, on the way home just the other side of Blacksburg, we heard the news of the shootings at Virginia Tech. Knowing several students and faculty who used to be there and a few who are now attending VT, we were very concerned about this horrific event. All we can do is pray for the students, parents of students, faculty, and staff of this university. I feel so bad for the slain, injured and traumatized students. I pray that God will comfort them in this trying time.
