Global Outreach Conference

Global Outreach Conference

This week we are involved in a conference of those who are from or reaching out to people in countries such as Mexico, Romania, Serbia, Vietnam, India, Ukraine, and other places. It is interesting to see what is going on in these locales, and a lot is going on. It has been refreshing to be challenged by an in depth study of the basis of the commission given to us.

Last week I was not up to par at all following an immunization. Feeling perfectly fine, I went to the doctor on Wednesday for a routine check up and was advised to have a pneumonia shot, which I did. That night I couldn’t sleep for the pain like a broken bone, swelling, and redness in my upper arm. Thursday my arm was swollen from my shoulder to the elbow and in great pain. Another doctor prescribed a powerful pain killer which took care of the pain, but I suffered the side effects of headache, nausea and vomiting. By Saturday I stopped taking all medication and felt much better. My arm was swollen in the elbow and red almost to my wrist, but continued to get better. I have had many immunizations and am thankful for them and for the protection they give, but I will not have that kind of shot again.

Next we are off to Raleigh, NC, to hear one we have mentored speaking on Sunday.

We hope your summer is full of many exciting experiences.
