In and out
Yes, we are home again for less than three weeks before our next project. Our last trip took us to the cold northern Illinois winter and to the balmy breezes of Mexico. The conference in Cuernavaca, Mexico, was extremely valuable with 7-8 hours of reports and messages for three days and welcome and farewell banquets. We heard of Mexican missionaries going to other countries, a radio station established in Baghdad, Iraq, as well as seeing videos of God working in various parts of the world. It is almost unbelievable how the gospel is going to certain regions of the world. My husband preached on Wednesday morning as well as updated the conference on our labors for 2006. The fellowship with other preachers and missionaries was wonderful. On our last day in Mexico we visited the Rios de Misericordia (Rivers of Mercy) Children’s home where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch along with music by the girls who live there.
On both week-ends we were in Rockford, Illinois, where my husband preached on one Sunday and gave an update testimony the other. We both shared in Sunday school classes and were happy to see many long-time friends.
Thank you for your prayers for us during this time away serving the Lord in Mexico and Illinois..
Our next trip will be to Vietnam to set up a variety of events and make connections to make that happen. We are greatly in need of funds that would be given to children’s homes in Ho Chi Minh City. Please let us know soon if you can help. Our departure date is February 20th to be gone two weeks. We ask your prayers for us as we attempt to set up free short term medical clinics, a marketing lecture series in the university and a slight possibility of beginning the process of establishing a Christian radio station in this city of over eight million people A missionary couple from Cambodia are hoping to connect with us while there.
